Fourteen of Wellington's leading wood
artists converge on Shed 11 to show case and sell their
exquisite woodwork. Exhibitors will give demonstrations of
their carving and woodturning craft through out this free
five-day event.
Woodcraft Wellington presents a
wide range of high quality wood items, large and small, for
the discerning buyer.
One member of the
exhibition is double NZ Olympian (1972 & 76 shooting
athlete), Graeme McIntyre, who is now one of this country's
leading wood artists. He is renowned for creating delicate
pierced vessels that take hours of patience and skill to
create.
Other exhibitors include woodturners Hugh
Mill, Jill & Tony Van Raalte, Rick Screen, Bryan Hawkins,
and Denis Newton and woodcarver Archie Kerr.
