Durex has been inundated with applications from Kiwis wanting to become product testers.
Almost 3,500 Kiwis have applied to become Durex product testers since applications opened on Wednesday 10 December.
By region, Durex has received the most applications from Auckland so far. However, per capita*, Christchurch residents are the most eager, followed closely by residents from Hamilton, Nelson and Napier.
Members of Gen Y are proving keen for this dream job with 46 per cent of all applicants being between the ages of 20-29 years, as are Kiwi women (57 per cent of total applicants).
Durex is looking for 100 suitable sexecutives to become Durex Play Ultra testers to aid in research for the organisation - Play Ultra is part of Durex’s Play vibes range.
Applicants, who must be aged 16 or over, have until 21 January 2009 to apply, and should explain why they’re the best candidate for the job. Kiwis can apply by visiting www.durextester.co.nz.
“We’re delighted with the number and quality of applications we’ve received so far,” says David Rae, Durex NZ Country Manager. “It’s great to see so many Kiwis wanting to become Durex product testers. Given we are looking for applications of the highest quality we are still encouraging Kiwis to send in their submissions.
“We know from past Durex sex surveys that Kiwis are having a lot of sex, but it’s not necessarily of the best quality. By gaining direct feedback from our customers Durex can continue to develop new products that will enhance enjoyment and sexual wellbeing.”
One applicant cited his reason for applying as, “I like sex but am hopeless in bed and need all the help I can get before my girlfriend leaves me”.
