New Year toast of a different kind
Wellington’s ‘Toastman’, Maurice
Bennett, will make a Newtown-themed piece of toast art for
Suite gallery.
The new art will be installed in time for the Six degrees of Separation exhibition, which opens on Saturday 24 January.
The Pasifika-themed toast piece is being designed to reflect the strong Pacific culture of Newtown, Wellington.
Suite gallery is at 69 Owen Street, Newtown, Wellington. The toast art will be shown on the back of the gallery’s exterior wall.
