Waitangi Weekend Lotto Winners

Waitangi Weekend Lotto Winners

This Waitangi Day weekend, two lucky players in Tauranga and Invercargill have won $507,768 each on Lotto First Division tonight, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The winning tickets were sold at Chadwick Stationary, Gifts and Lotto in Tauranga and Elles Road New World in Invercargill.

“The summer weather has been beautiful around most of the country and our winners in Tauranga and Invercargill will certainly be having a Waitangi weekend to remember,” says Mr McLeay.

Powerball First Division was not struck tonight, so the jackpot for next weekend will be worth an estimated $8 million.

Meanwhile, a Strike Four prize of $166,126 was won by a player who purchased their ticket from New World Waihi in Waihi.

Tonight’s other big winner was Brian Nuttall and his wife Hilary from Ashburton who won $125,000 on Lotto’s Winning Wheel.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Your Office and Lotto in Hawera. The serial number is 254-08542468-20XX.

“Anyone who bought a ticket at these retailers should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible at any NZ Lotteries’ outlet," Todd McLeay says.
