Grammys: NZ Duo Miss Out On Award
NZ Duo Miss Out On Award
Flight of The Conchords, nominated for the second year in a row for Best Comedy Album at the Grammy awards, have missed out again.
The LA Times reported on it's Grammy Blog that at 2:07pm local time, George Carlin won for his final album, "It's Bad For Ya."

2:07 p.m.: Best comedy album went to George Carlin. George's daughter Kelly is accepting. "I was hoping to get through this without crying ... I promise to take care of this better than my dad did." Apparently, George, in a "chemically-induced altered state," took apart his first Grammy (in 1972). Carlin passed away last June.
Tough luck to Bret and Jermaine, but let's face it, being nominated alongside Lewis Black, Harry Shearer and Kathy Griffin, and losing out to the late, great George Carlin really isn't anything to feel too bad about.
