Truth - Compassion - Tolerance: Exhibition
Thistle Hall is a vibrant community centre in the heart of New Zealand's cultural capital. We provide a community hall, meeting room and Wellington's only community gallery showcasing a range of artists and crafts people, from the established to the emerging. Thistle Hall is located on the corner of Cuba and Arthur streets. The shows on at Thistle Hall Community Gallery are run by the artists who hire it.

TRUTH -
COMPASSION - TOLERANCE
INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBITION
The art of truth-compassion-tolerance is art with a deep inspiration. It is art that aspires to inform and educate, to inspire and transform, to change and reshape.
The exhibit should appeal to anyone interested in the relation of art to the social-political world; in suffering and the human condition; or in universal and spiritual themes. Those concerned with the contemporary world, in particular China, will find special importance in the issues raised therein. Much of what the art depicts and considers is currently unfolding in China. The exhibit is, above all, timely and relevant.
These art works are not meant so much to entertain or delight as to spark reflection, to inspire the soul, and to ennoble the spirit.
This is the second collection of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. An earlier version of the exhibit was shown at the National Arts Club in New York City, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the Museum of Eeklo, Belgium, among others.
The inspiration for the art works is from personal experiences and spiritual belief. The artists' technique and style is classical, as they apply classical oil painting techniques that were used by the old masters. They thus call their art-form 'Neo-Renaissance'.
