FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BNZ Welcomed As New Sponsors At Kelt Capital Horse Of The Year Show

There's an exciting new face joining the Kelt Capital Horse of the Year Show.

BNZ is a proud new supporter of equestrian and the show's official bank. It seems quite fitting that one of the oldest institutions in New Zealand banking is now part of the show.

The Kelt Capital Horse of the Year Show, being held from March 17-22 in Hastings, is one of the biggest sporting events in the Southern Hemisphere. More than 2600 horses and riders compete in 18 different disciplines for the crowns of equestrian. The Bell Tea Olympic Cup for Showjumper of the Year has attracted some of the biggest names from both sides of the Tasman.

Dressage will be flying the BNZ flag high with through the BNZ International Dressage Arena where all the top dressage titles will be decided and New Zealand will take on Germany in the international derby.

BNZ regional managing partner, Campbell Chambers says the event is a perfect partner for the bank, highlighting BNZ's different specialist areas.

“They're all coming together for the show – agribusiness, private banking, business banking and retail – to make a meaningful impact on all those who will be there,” he says.

“We are delighted to be a major sponsor of this show. It is an event that has grown to become one of the largest and most prestigious annual equestrian events in the Southern Hemisphere.”

Their involvement was very much an investment in the nation.

“We see this as an investment in the sport of equestrian from grass roots right through to the national level,” says Chambers. “This gives us an ideal opportunity to showcase our products and services to help create a memorable event experience for all.”

BNZ will provide eftpos and merchant services to traders at the show as well as cash-out facilities.

“We believe this an event most worthy of our support, attracting interest not just throughout New Zealand, but across the Tasman and beyond,” says Chambers.

Kelt Capital Horse of the Year Show director Kevin Hansen said he was rapt to welcome the BNZ to the show's sponsorship family.

“This is an event that celebrates all that is good about our nation – these are mums, dads, children, grandparents, aunts and uncles, all out there competing for some of the top awards in New Zealand equestrian. It's not just for the elite, but is a chance to bring everyone together to celebrate all things equestrian.”

And that was something he felt fitted very nicely with the BNZ.
