News From Sandwiches
Trust you are all recovered from last weekend? It was a fantastic one down here at the club. Thursday was brilliant and both Friday and Saturday were off the hook. PVans, Truth, Minuit, Upbeats, Rico Tubbs, Trei, The Dropkick cousins, Doc Scott, Marcus Intalex, Ddog and the whole Bass Frontiers crew, just to name some of the acts.... Phew, something for everyone. Our heads are just clearing!
Don't think you've earned the weekend off though 'cause the quality just keeps coming!
Thursday (Thats
tonight!) - Freq Nasty
Watch your bass bins! The
dreadlocked don of breakbeat returns to Sandwiches - On
orientation tour through the country some of us were lucky
enough to catch him play in Palmerston North last week, and
we can tell you that you're in for a real treat. Dubstep,
breaks and bass heavy grooves of the highest order. A proper
party to kick off the weekend indeed.
Friday - Noise
Control featuring Black Planet
More drum and bass
goodness, this time from the Backspacer crew. Black Planet
are a live duo from Queenstown currently killing it with
their production skills and live show - 'a show like any
other, sampling the past and creating the future'. We'll
take a slice of that!
Saturday - Rhombus Live
One of
the hardest working bands in New Zealand? Well certainly one
of the best! The boys have been busy all summer on the road
after releasing their awesome third album back in October.
We're stoked to have them back in the club, so get down and
make the most of
it.
