Howltearoa bows out and Phat Grrrl Revolution tour
Kia ora koutou
a word in your ear:
Howltearoa is taking
a break for 2009. There has been some discussion about a new
venue- we'll keep you posted.
Many many thanks to
Southern Cross and Restaurant for all their venue support
for Howltearoa since 2006.
In the meantime get along to HAPPY this Saturday for a spoken word fix in the form of the Phat Grrrl revolution.
Word Collective is hosting a Def
Jam poet, Nikki Patin, who is doing one show only in Wgtn on
Sat March 21st after touring the motu.
Check her out on
Youtube
The Wgtn Word Collective will be represented by two performers; Glenn Ashworth with his hybrid word glide thru pakeha and maori kaupapa and Ciara Mulholland, checking out of Godzone with a swansong appearance.
Tickets are $10 unwaged, $15 waged and the show starts at 8pm.
Spread
the word y'all, spread it like butter,
polyunsaturated.
(with apologies to Che Fu)
