Rollercoaster 2009 - Free Family Festival
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Rollercoaster 2009 - Free Family Festival
Rollercoaster 09 is a free one day family festival event unlike any other in New Zealand.
On Saturday 18th April at North Harbour Stadium, Rollercoaster 09 brings together Extreme Downhill Skateboard Racing, a Skateboard Street Competition, local bands LUGER BOA, CLAP CLAP RIOT, QUARTER 2, THE TWITCH, DJ’s and more, good food, good coffee, film festival tent, street performers, demonstration sports and a charity fancy dress downhill recycled old bike race – for which all proceeds will go to the Make A Wish Foundation.
Based on the success of other similar festivals around the world, and the fact that there is not a big event of this X-Games type nature in New Zealand, Gravity Entertainment propose Rollercoaster 09 as the starting block to create an annual event, with the aim of future years events including other types of Extreme sports like Motorcross (FMX), BMX, Mountain Biking, and Wake Boarding. There’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy, loads of prizes to win and best of all - it’s free!
