The Very Best Confirmed For NZFF - Homegrown 09
This year's Homegrown entries for the short film section of the New Zealand International Film Festival are to be selected by four industry leaders.
Anne O'Brien, Executive Director of WIFT, Anna Cahill , Executive Director of the Screen Directors Guild, Steven Ganaway, Executive Director of New Zealand Writers Guild and Director of MIC Toi Rerehiko, Deborah Lawler-Dormer have the task of selecting films to screen in the 3 part program that has been featuring in the NZ Film Festival for the past 13 years.
Lawler-Dormer has been part of the selection process since the inception of Homegrown and says, "Each year is a fantastic journey, seeing the freshest work that has been produced over the past year. We are looking for NZ short films in all categories of films including 35mm, digital, animated and experimental and I am confident I will be impressed by many of this years' entries."
A call for entries has been spreading rapidly around New Zealand organisations and films are arriving well in time for the 17 April deadline.
