Pak N Save Sells $50,000 Prize In Opening Week
Pak N Save Wairau Road Lotto sold a $50,000 Instant Kiwi prize in its first week of operations last week.
The long awaited supermarket opened in Glenfield on Sunday 3 May and the winning Instant Kiwi ticket was sold two days later on Tuesday 5 May.
The $50,000 ticket was purchased by a local Glenfield family who were visiting their new favourite supermarket for their groceries.
“I paid for the weekly groceries and got $3 in change so decided to buy an Instant Kiwi Game Show ticket on the way out,” the father said.
The family are very excited and plan to pay off their bills and all enjoy a trip overseas with the children.
Pak N Save Lotto staff were stunned to have sold the top prize just a couple of days after opening the doors. Staff are sure their good luck is going to continue.
Two top prizes of $50,000 remain on the $3 Game Show ticket.
