THE HILLS: SEASON 5 AND ROCK OF LOVE: CHARM SCHOOL

AUCKLAND, FRIDAY 17TH April, 2009 – MTV New Zealand is pleased to present all new episodes of The Hills and Rock Of Love: Charm School, as the reality show giants both return for new seasons.

Lauren, Audrina and Heidi are back for Season 5 of MTV’s popular real-life drama The Hills, premiering from Wednesday 17th June at 8pm. Lauren and Heidi’s friendship is on the line, Heidi and Spencer’s relationship in the air and Audrina seeks a new love away from Justin as Season 5 promises new romances, old enemies and enduring friendships coming together and changing life at The Hills forever.

Season 5 has been said to focus on the future of Lauren and her friends/enemies, leaving their pasts behind and showing that the future is unwritten for anyone, as they don’t know what it will hold.

Ozzy’s better half, Sharon Osbourne, takes the reigns of developing proper etiquette with 14 former contestants as Rock Of Love: Charm School presents former heiresses to Bret Michaels' heart a chance to win $100,000 US dollars. Contestants from Rock Of Love and Rock Of Love 2 battle it out to become “Charm School Queen”, but with the likes of Lacey, Angelique and Kristy Joe all under one roof, has the woman who tamed “The Prince of Darkness” finally met her match? Tune in from Monday 8th June at 8pm to find out.

With The Lonely Island’s and Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg hosting and a confirmed live performance from Eminem, the MTV Movie Awards 2009 is already shaping up to be one massive spectacle. Since it’s first ceremony in 1992, the awards show has proved to be one of the funniest and most goofily entertaining events on MTV’s calendar.

Who could forget Jack Black as Spider-Man in 2002, Justin Timberlake and Will Ferrell entering The Matrix in 2003, Jim Carrey’s “heavenly” acceptance speech for his 2006 MTV Generation award or last year’s “Wayne’s World” reunion? Follow all the festivities on Monday 1st June at 8pm.

Bands let their guard down and open up to enlighten viewers with their personal side, all the while their biggest fans battle it out to see who knows more about the artist. Fan vs. Bands is the new, fun and kitschy game show hosted by MTV Australia VJ Darren McMullen (a.k.a Cheesy Mac), where priceless memorabilia and amazing prizes are up for grabs.
