BATS is the new Art Gallery in town
We like the new look in the Theatre so much right now that we think we might keep it. No more Theatre at BATS as you know it, we're all about being an Art Gallery right now! Charm is Not Enough is in the final week so book now to see what the new City Gallery might look like... I don't think I can put it better than Laurie Atkinson in the Dominion Post: "They have created an hour-long, visually exciting piece of theatre that combines art installation, song, dance, sophisticated technical effects, and their own flamboyant style of surrealistic humour."
Word on the street is that there is a Q&A session after the show tonight, so we can all find out exactly how those crazy BabyshadS got the idea for the show, and how many hours went in to their amazing set and costumes.
We go from being an Art Gallery to an Orchard next week with The Blackening by Paul Rothwell. I hear the set designer has taken the phrase "An Apple a day keeps the Doctor at bay" to new levels! And who else is excited to see Jed Brophy back acting at BATS? I know I am!
