The Etch Magazine kiwi joins in local rail jam

Etch Press Release – The Etch Magazine kiwi joins in local rail jam to support New Zealand’s young snowboarding athletes.

Etch Magazine joined in the fun at year at the 2009 Annual Takapuna Throw Down held on Friday 19th of July to help support New Zealand’s young winter athletes. Known as the biggest annual snow event in Auckland, Takapuna Beach was turned into a slopestyle winter playground with over 20 tonnes of snow, a triple rail option and invitations to 15 of New Zealand’s heaviest hitting snowboarders. The event was hosted by FTB Snowboard Camps in collaboration with Cheapskates Takapuna to promote snowboarding as an active lifestyle and internationally competitive sport available to New Zealand’s young people.

Etch Magazine wanted to play a part in the night to let the next generation of young New Zealanders know that following your passion and aspiring to reach your goals is both achievable and encouraged amongst young kiwis, “We want to use the etch magazine brand to help show the young generation of kiwis that doing business is cool. We all need to make positive business and lifestyle decisions and this attitude needs to start at an early age”. The Etch Magazine Kiwi (played by Erik Nauta) was given $100 cash to throw down the trick of the night.

The night concluded with prizes and giveaways from Red Bull, Demon and Cheapskates with big money from DC, and the Etch Magazine Kiwi walked away with his $100 and a vibrant message to those involved.
