DANZ Forums in Auckland and Wellington:
Dance Work
Forums – essential information
For dance professionals
eg; freelance dancers, teachers, choreographers and those
working in a company or on projects etc
These
forums will look at critical issues to do with dance
work:
The conditions of dance work, codes of practice,
contracts and what they should cover, collective bargaining,
the role of an agent, the role of a union and why a dancer
might join one, minimum rates of pay and a comparison with
Australia.
This is an opportunity to hear from DANZ, Frances Walsh from the performers union NZ Actors Equity/MEAA and Shona McCullagh from performers' agency Human Garden.

Working Conditions and Pay Survey -
DANZ
DANZ is conducting essential research on the
conditions of work and rates of pay across New Zealand
dance. The survey form is now on the DANZ website and we
urge you to fill it in. The more replies we get, the clearer
the picture we will have of pay rates and the more use this
will be when setting your own fees or negotiating pay. For
more information: http://www.danz.org.nz/news.php?news_id=109
