Jazz Apple's Ellis Wins Overall Tour de Delta
Jazz Apple's Ellis Wins Overall Tour de Delta; Duvnjak Wins Final Stage

Today's final road stage of Tour de Delta was conveniently scooped up by Marina Duvnjak following a day of blinding team synergy. There was plenty of excitement during the 88km circuit race with Malindi Maclean convincingly collecting the sprinters jersey by claiming six of eight sprints, while Marina methodically took an unassailable control of the Queen of the Mountains competition.
Race leader, Lauren Ellis and second placed, Dotsie Bausch continued to exude dominance; their presence was consistently felt in every threatening move on the windswept circuits.
In the final 2km, Marina rocketed away for a stunning solo victory while Steph Roorda blitzed around Malindi's leadout to finish second. Steph's second place in the stage garnered her valuable time bonus seconds that moved her into third place overall on GC. Dotsie finished third in the sprint today, which landed Jazz Apple first, second and third in the stage as well as in the overall with Lauren crowned as the overall Tour de Delta winner. Lauren also won the best young rider (U25) jersey and the Jazz Apple team clinched the overall teams title.
After four days repsite here in Vancouver BC, the team will once again be in action in the Tour de Whiterock.
