Flight 2 Finishes With 28 Through To Day 2
As play wraps up on the second flight of Day 1 of the New Zealand Poker Tour Queenstown – SKYCITY Alpine Adventure, 28 of the 36 players from the day have qualified for Day 2 which takes place on Friday 24 July.
Both Emad Tahtouh and Grant Levy who are professional international players have made it through to the next round.
Emad Tahtouh from Melbourne, Australia is delighted to be playing such a great event in Queenstown, New Zealand.
“Being in Queenstown, one of the best tourist destinations in New Zealand and being surrounded by snow capped mountains sets the perfect scene for a world class poker tournament.”
It is looking like a similar field to Flight 2, tomorrow’s flight over 30 players will take to the table trying to bluff their way into the prize pool. Professional poker players Eric Assadourian and Celina Lin from Australia will be playing in tomorrows Flight aiming for the final table.
So far 45 players have qualified for Day 2 of the event.
