The Best of Fringe 2009 is back!
The Best of Fringe 2009 is back!

Every Sunday in September, BATS Theatre presents TWO DAY PLAYS, a selection of 10-minute plays made within 48 hours. 18 teams will compete over three heats, with the top 6 returning to make an all new play for the Grand Final, where they’ll compete for a huge selection of prizes.
The inaugural Two Day Play winners ‘HalfWITS’ also took out the prizes for Best Kiss, Best Death, Best Sound Design, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Script. They will be using their winnings to help them bring a full length play to the 2010 Fringe Festival, but before they do, they’ll be on hand to defend their title. Challengers include the Fringe 09 Best Theatre winners The Playground Collective and a team led by ex-judge-turned-competitor Bevin Linkhorn.
The 2 hour events are hosted by Cohen Holloway and Simon Smith, with judging by director Murray Lynch, playwright Jean Betts, king audience member Michael Wray and BATS Programme Manager Steph Walker.
24 brand new, original and exciting plays will be premiered this September – don’t miss them!
