Introduce Three Lucky People
to Colorado's Legendary Winter Season
Colorado, home to 26 unique ski resort areas and more than 300 inches of annual snowfall, announces Snow at First Sight (www.SnowatFirstSight.com), a social media campaign designed to reveal Colorado's legendary winter offerings through fresh eyes.
With half of the earth's population having never seen snow, the Snow at First Sight campaign speaks to those who can only imagine a Colorado winter, while reminding frequent visitors what makes the state one of the most popular winter vacation destinations in the U.S.
Snow at First Sight offers an all-expense-paid ``ultimate winter escape’’ - a three-month program designed to showcase Colorado's offerings and turn three willing participants into Colorado winter aficionados. From January through March, 2010, the participants will delight in the best winter activities Colorado has to offer, working with local experts to learn how to ski, snowboard, snowmobile and snowshoe, for example.
The participants will also dine at some of the state's finest restaurants, mingle at the hottest apres-ski spots, get pampered at spas and hot springs and enjoy other Colorado vacation pursuits. The public can follow the entire Snow at First Sight experience via blog and social media channels.
To participate, potential participants are asked to submit a video to www.SnowatFirstSight.com explaining why they've never had a ``snow rendezvous,’’ and why they are most deserving of such a unique first-time experience in Colorado. Contestants are encouraged to use their social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to spread the word about their entry. Half of the winners will be selected based upon audience voting while the other five semi-finalists will be chosen by an expert panel in Colorado.
Ten finalists will be selected from all entries and flown out to Colorado for an audition. Three finalists will be selected by a panel of industry experts to participate in the program.
Snow enthusiasts and fans in cold-weather cities can participate by viewing videos and voting for their favorite on www.SnowatFirstSight.com.
