Author pitching in to send John Key to Copenhagen
Noel O’Hare, author of the new book How to Save the World by Recycling Your Sex Toys, is auctioning a signed copy of his book on Trade Me to help send Prime Minister John Key to the Climate Conference in Copenhagen.
“I fully support the Greenpeace Sign On campaign to send John Key to Copenhagen in December and all the money raised in my auction will go towards that cause,” says O’Hare.
“The future of the planet may depend on John Key’s contribution to the debate. We all know he has great ideas."
"The big problem in Copenhagen will be persuading India and China to limit their emissions. If Key can persuade them to build six lane cycle ways instead of motorways, the planet will breathe a lot easier."
O’Hare says he is not concerned if the campaign falls short of its target. “If they only raise enough money to give John Key a one- way ticket to Copenhagen, I’m cool with that." How to Save the World by Recycling Your Sex Toys, a satire on the obsession with recycling, is published by New Holland Publishers.
