Community Zone (English) : Mon-Thu 5-6pm


The best local radio show in Wellington! – Community Zone celebrates our awesome grassroots communities with brilliant local news, notices, reviews and special guests. Recent interviewees include Brett McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords, Drag Queen Carmen Rupe and award winning musician Lawrence Arabia. Monday C Zone: Jen and Yolanda catch up with comedian Jacquie Brown about her TV series and new book, then hear about Collapsing Creation a play about Darwin as well as continuing their coverage of BLOW.

From the Vaults (English) : Mon 1-2pm *NEW DAY, NEW TIME!

From the Vaults is an hilarious look back into the history of Wellington Access Radio programming.  Today it’s all about the kids!  We have an episode of NOISE WORKS! from 1994, an interview with a young girl who visited India and two children’s stories.  NOISE WORKS! is a regular holiday programme where the kids get to take control of the airwaves.  This episode from 1994 has the theme of conservation and consists of interviews with the Wellington Zoo, the Body Shop and Environmentalist Steve Dixon.  Has anything changed in the past 15 years?  Listen in to find out!

The A Team (English) : Tue 3-3.30pm 

Brendan and Dan storming the airwaves with great tunes! An awesome mix of classic pop music and news tunes to get you dancing through your Tuesday afternoon. Expect Madonna, Fergie, Pink and MJ- plus a fair few Star Wars references too!

Oye Latino! (Spanish): Thu 6-7.30pm
The headlines of the most prominent cultural events in Latin America and the Wellington Latino Community. The most important heath lines, including excerpts on peoples struggles in Latin America. Up dates on Honduras 117 Days of Resistance and the people’s daily demonstrations.  Community News and events for the Wellington Latin America Community.

World Teacher (English) : Sat 10-10.30am

The World Teacher is here for all humanity. He comes as an educator, in the broadest sense. This month’s programme features an article about UFOs and the reasons for their increasing appearances around the world. In particular the appearance of the 'star-like luminary' which signals Maitreya's first television interview.

An award winning programme about Wellington songwriters presented by Terry Shore.  This week Terry catches up with Scott Staples and Karl Levo. They’ll chat about their original acoustic pop and play a live set.

This week the show by, for and about people living with disabilities talks to Anne Hawker from the Ministry of Social Development.  They also catch up with Paul Gibson of Capital & Coast DHB about a recent hospital tour for blind/visually-impaired people.

EarthSounZ On Access (English) : Sat 6-7pm

EarthSounZ On Access offers interviews and music from diverse cultures: mainstream, traditional and experimental. Presented by Eric Hathaway, the show will draw upon the voices and talents of musicians from New Zealand’s ethnic communities whether they be European, African, Pacific, Asian or from the Americas. Eric is keen to hear from local musicians who want to bring their music to a wider audience in both performance and interviews.  This week Eric features WOMAD 2010 and there's an interview with British folk band The Unthanks.
