Contact turns up the heat with Scorching Triathlons
The Contact Scorching Triathlon series is gearing up to be one of the hottest events on the Wellington summer calendar.
Thousands of people are expected to take part in the six triathlons, which kick off this Sunday and run until March 28. All events are based at Scorching Bay, Wellington, except for the Police Tri event on February 28, which is held at Motukaraka Point north of Porirua.
The Scorching Triathlon series is designed to suit people of all ages and fitness levels with short, medium and long distances offered at each event, as well as Duathlon options involving running and cycling for people who are not confident swimmers.
“We’re proud to be supporting the Scorching Triathlons because it encourages people to get involved in a fun and relaxed series of events after the long winter. We hope people will take up the opportunity to participate and experience the satisfaction of completing a triathlon,” said Craig Griffiths, Sponsorship Manager, Contact Energy.
