ALBUMS 'Atlantic Soul Classics'
We've come across an interesting idea for a show that will become a regular feature at Bodega in the new year. The idea is one to protect and promote albums as they slowly slip into extinction in our disposable i-tunes future. The basic premise is to pick an iconic album and get a group of different bands/musicians to re-jig, remix and re-model the tracks to meet their own sound. The outcome therefore will be a night of songs you know and love as you have never heard them before.
The opening night see's The Volunteers, Andrew Moore Trio, Fortuna Tones w/ Mara Simpson and Vorn Colgan take on the album 'Atlantic Soul Classics' featuring tracks by Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding and more.
Thursday December 3rd. $5 on the door from 9pm.
