Ken and Barbie’s gift of giving this Christmas
Ken and Barbie and a group of Kiwi musicians are hosting a charity Christmas gourmet “Barbie-Q” in Auckland’s CBD today.
And you’re invited to the free Barbie-Q provided you bring a Christmas toy to be donated to the Auckland City Mission.
George FM DJs Murry Sweetpants and Nigel Love are the DJs at the party. Performances are also scheduled from Atlas’ Sean Cunningham, NZ Idol stars Ben Lummis and Michael Murphy as well as Shotgun Alley’s Josh Grant Betty.
The Ken and Barbie-Q is being held at Auckland’s Traffic Bar and Restaurant in Britomart.
“While constant parties seem to go hand in hand with the festive season, it’s also a time for remembering those in our community who struggle during Christmas,” says Traffic co-owner Woody Richards. “We wanted to provide an opportunity for our customers to show their support to those less fortunate.”
So bring a toy or cash donation down to the Barbie-Q and eat and drink guilt-free.
