Is your employer set up for Payroll Giving?

December 2009
Starting in January you’ll be able to
make donations to Downtown Community Ministry straight from
your pay packet.
Payroll Giving has been set up to give employees the opportunity to donate to approved donee organisations direct from their pay and receive immediate tax credits.
That means you won't need to wait until the end of the year to claim your tax credit.
To support the scheme Downtown Community Ministry is looking at offering Payroll Giving for its staff.
Director Stephanie McIntyre says, “This scheme not only makes it easier for employees to give to their favourite causes it builds closer connections between the business and community sector”.
Stephanie has volunteered to test out payroll giving, once DCM is setup, in the new year.
“If we can try it out, and know how it works, we’ll be in a great position to offer it to staff and encourage others to give to DCM through this system.
