$9 Million Weekend For Christchurch Lotto Powerball Player
A Powerball player in Christchurch
has just won themselves a $9 million fortune in tonight’s
Lotto Powerball draw, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive,
Todd McLeay.
“This player has beaten the Powerball odds to become $9 million richer,” says Mr McLeay.
The winning ticket was sold at Fendalton New World in Christchurch and is worth $9.3 million, which is made up of $9 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.
Two other Lotto players also won $333,333 with Lotto’s First Division tonight. The winning tickets were sold at Take Note Pukekohe in Pukekohe and Whitcoulls Wellington Terminal in Wellington.
Meanwhile, Strike Four was struck with two lucky players from Waitakere and Lower Hutt winning $80,284 each. The winning tickets were sold at Rathgar Road Discount Foodmart in Henderson and Pak’n’Save Petone in Lower Hutt.
Tonight’s other big winners were members of a work syndicate from Hastings who won $125,000 on Lotto’s Winning Wheel.
All Lotto players are automatically in the
draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel,
regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can chck
their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight’s
Winning Wheel ticket was won by a player who bought their
ticket from Orewa Video and Lotto in Orewa. The serial
number is 598-05398276-20XX.
“Anyone who bought a ticket at these retailers should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible at any NZ Lotteries’ outlet," Todd McLeay says.
