And now, these 3 idiots are going to attempt to bring you the whole epic movie in 70 minutes.
Determined to bring you casts of thousands, climactic ocean battles, sprawling chariot races, lepers by the bucket load, an inspiring tale of revenge served cold, and all with a budget less than the price of the ticket.
And "hey", Jesus is in it. Just in time for Easter!
Can The Fringe Bar stage hold this 'epic-ness'?
Two friends seperated by idealogy. One man's quest for revenge.
Ben Hur tells the story of a noble prince who is torn from his safe world by his old Roman friend. He is sentenced to a slave galley ship, but soon finds success in the arena as a charioteer where he plots his revenge against the man who took everything away from him.
Charlton Heston will be rolling over in his grave!
Wellington comedy and improv stalwarts Derek Flores (Sincerely Yours, WellingSin City) and Simon Smith (Postal, Black Sheep) bring in Eric Amber from Canada to help with the awesome scale of this undertaking. Using only their improv wit and comedy skills these 3 will attempt the near impossible by bringing this monstrous tale to the stage.
Casts of thousands. 70
minutes. 3 men.
One small stage.
One giant story.
Be ready for failure most hilarious!
