Islamic Art and Cultural Exhibition
Islamic Art and Cultural Exhibition

Wellington’s
Muslim community is holding its first ever Islamic Art
and
Cultural Exhibition toward the end of the month,
believing that familiarity
helps avoid misunderstandings
and confusion.
The Muslim Community in New Zealand is a
small but very visible minority.
There are approximately
40,000 Muslims in New Zealand from 42
different
ethnicities.
This rich range of countries
which Muslims come from includes New Zealand,
Fiji,
Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and many
more.
Through our collections and programs covering this
myriad of different
cultures we will offer an exciting
encounter with the art and culture of the
Islamic World.
