Time to get famous!
School kids have an opportunity to showcase their singing, dancing and musical talents at Westfield centres across New Zealand this school holidays.
Run as part of Westfield’s school holiday programme, 5 Minutes of Fame allows up-and-coming performers to take centre stage in front of hundreds of mall-goers.
Heats for 5 Minutes of Fame will run from Monday to Thursday each week during the holidays, with a winning contestant named each day. Those contestants will then return to the stage on Friday to compete in the finals for their centre’s 5 Minutes of Fame title.
Finalists’ performances will be filmed at each of the nine participating Westfield centres nationwide. The videos will be reviewed by a panel of judges who will decide on an overall grand prize winner.
The grand prize winner will take home $1,000 cash, a mentoring programme with an accomplished Kiwi artist and be given the chance to perform in front of thousands at Westfield Style Pasifika 2010.
If you would like to enter 5 Minutes of Fame these school holidays, register at www.westfield.co.nz or visit the customer service desk at your local participating Westfield centre.
