Community Groups Have The Pick Of Funders
Community groups seeking support
will have a range of funders to pick from at the August 2
funding fair being hosted by ASB Community Trust.
A dozen funders and support organisations have combined to bring grant information to the funding fair, being held at Pt Chevalier’s Te Mahurehure Marae, 73 Premier Ave, from 12-2pm. This will be followed by ASB Community Trust’s annual public meeting from 2-3pm.
Information will be
provided by the Lion Foundation, Vodafone Foundation, the
Lotteries Grants Board, DonateNZ, the Unitec NZ Graduate
Diploma in Not for Profit Management, the New Zealand
Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations, FundView,
Inland Revenue Department, Department of Internal Affairs,
the Charities Commission; Community Waitakere and ASB
Community Trust.
At the ASB Community
Trust annual public meeting that follows, Trust Chair Ann
Hartley will outline the results from last financial year
and present the grants budget for 2010 and CEO Jennifer
Gill will explain the Trust’s plans for the next year.
At the end of the meeting, community group representatives will be able to talk with Trustees from the ASB Community Trust about their projects and funding needs.
