Fitness is a stroller in the park
Mums wishing to fight the” mummy tummy”, and get fit, now have another option to get back into shape, thanks to Mum of 2, Nancy Vincent Parr, owner of Christchurch’s most unique exercise business, Wheelie Fit Mums.
It’s the first, and only programme in Christchurch that allows Mums to exercise while keeping their baby with them in their stroller. Designed by Nancy in response to a need she saw in the community for a way Mums can get fit, lose their baby weight and socialise all at the same time.
“I was feeling unfit and a bit flabby after my second baby, but there was just nothing out there that suited my needs as a Mum. I had limited time, babysitters, and motivation, and also needed to be able to cancel at short notice. So Wheelie Fit Mums was designed for all the Mums out there like me” (Nancy Vincent Parr, owner Wheelie Fit Mums)
With a degree in Physical Education from Otago University, mum of 2, Nancy, is well qualified to assist other mums to get back to their pre-pregnancy shape, or better, and understands the difficulties mums have making it to class with young children.
Wheelie Fit Mums has two levels, and sessions are 50 minutes. They involve power walking or jogging with regular workout stations, using the environment, the stroller, and exercise tubing to get a full body workout. Mums will also get other opportunities to socialise during events like “Mums Night Out”.
You will find Wheelie Fit Mums out and about getting up a sweat at Hagley Botanic Gardens, Hansen, and St Albans parks all year round. For more information anyone interested can check out www.wheeliefitmums.co.nz.
