Sarau Festival to be in the Moutere Hills Community Centre
Sarau Festival to be held in the Moutere Hills Community Centre
30 January 2011
The Sarau Festival will be held in the Moutere Hills Community Centre at 4pm on 30 January 2011. This highly successful anniversary weekend event features a focus on the Mighty Blackcurrant and its healthy and tasty contribution to our diet. This year the guest chef will be Miles Drewery from Miles of Food who last year was the overall winner of the Best Product to Promote Blackcurrant section with his Blackcurrant Venison Pie.
An opportunity for the wider Nelson community to spend a relaxing afternoon in the Moutere while savouring the diverse entertainment, browsing a wide range of stalls and sampling food and drink often with a blackcurrant focus. Blackcurrant growers, scientists and marketers will again be on hand to discuss the growing and availability of this locally grown wonder fruit.
Co-ordinator Jenny Leith advises you to keep up with the Festival planning through their website www.saraufestival.co.nz .
