SM Trading – a Christmas cracker!
Manawatu homewares company, SM Trading, is hitting the headlines this festive season with Magisso’s award-winning cake server, the Magisso cloth holder and napkins from Marimekko.
After featuring on Good Morning, in Dish magazine, and in the pages of the Sunday Star Times, SM Trading products are in high demand.
Web and retail sales are exceeding expectations and, having secured sole New Zealand distribution rights for both Finnish brands, Company Director, Sarah Marshall, couldn’t be happier with the response.
Sarah attributes the products’ success to “an exceptional mix of simplicity and design”.
“Magisso products just make life so much easier and they look good doing it”, she says.
“With the cake server, all you have to do is press down, squeeze and serve. You get a perfect portion every time that’s ready for the plate.”
The idea behind the cloth holder is just as innovative. It’s easily installed in any sink in seconds thanks to a patented dual magnet design.
Once installed, the streamlined cloth holder keeps your cloth out of sight and out of the way until you’re ready to use it again.
Magisso’s success extends beyond the New Zealand market. The cake server received the coveted reddot design award earlier in the year, joining the ranks of previous winners Apple, BMW and Nokia.
Sarah plans to introduce more Magisso products to the New Zealand market as they are developed, and is always on the look out for exceptional new products to add to her exclusive range.
