Young And Hungry Festival of New Theatre – 21 Jul to 6 Aug, 2011 Wellington Auditions

If you are 15 to 25 years old and would like to advance your career in the theatre arts, the YOUNG AND HUNGRY Festival of New Theatre could be perfect for you!

This year’s programme, featuring new works by playwrights Thomas Sainsbury, Whiti Hereaka and Aaron Alexander, is a marathon of absurd, passionate and apocalyptic adventures featuring class clowns, chat room avatars and a city full of zombies!

Under the mentorship of leading industry practitioners, you will be able to showcase your talent in any area of theatre production, including: acting, lighting, sound, costumes, set design, stage management or publicity.

Many young people who started out with Young and Hungry have continued on to become accomplished theatre practitioners, playwrights and film professionals. Young and Hungry alumni include: Taika Waititi (Boy), Loren Horsley (Eagle vs Shark), Brett McKenzie (Flight of the Concords) and Michelle Ang (Neighbours).

Whether you are interested in performing on stage or being part of the magic behind it, don’t miss your chance to shine!
