Fusion Gallery & Studio, Lumsden

American Artist To Present Exclusive Collection Of Work From Virginia At Fusion
An Exciting new opportunity has come to light at Fusion gallery and Studio this week and next as American artist and part time Lumsden resident Diane Relf presents an eclectic exhibition of art work by 5 women artists from Virginia in the USA. All the women participating are experienced artists who have exhibited extensively and sold in shows in various galleries in America. The artists are Diane Relf, Judy Schwab, Martha Olson, Linda Wilson and Linda Bostic.

Diane Relf and her husband Dave Angle live in Lumsden 3 months a year, avoiding the snow and cold in Virginia. On this particular visit Diane stopped by Fusion Gallery & Studio and discussed the idea of an art exchange between the Lumsden gallery and the George Gray Gallery in Shawsville, Virginia USA. Plans have developed quickly and both parties involved are excited about the opportunity available for the public viewing the collection and a few selected NSCAI member artists to participate in the exchange, and also for paving the way for future exchanges to take place. Relf has plans to head back to America in March and will then organize a reciprocal exhibition for the NSCAI members, which include Kay Ward, Joanne Borgman, Michelle Wallis, Amy Preston and Mavis Andrews.

Gallery co ordinator Michelle Wallis said about the new venture “Fusion is excited to be able to host this exclusive exhibition and to be able to give local art enthusiasts the chance to purchase and view some genuine American artwork”
