Artist Simon Prendergast takes a huge step

MERGING ARTIST TAKES SOLID STEP FORWARD IN ART CAREER

Emerging and talented artist Simon Prendergast takes a huge step in his art career by accepting a residency position at Fusion Gallery and Studio at short notice this coming weekend February the 27th and 28th.

Due to a last minute schedule change a space became available to take part in Fusions new residency programme, a concept that is proving to be extremely successful for the artist and the gallery. Prendergast had the fortune to contact gallery co ordinator Michelle Wallis regarding exhibiting information and after a brief conversation was offered the space.

Mrs. Wallis Said “Simon is exactly the kind of artist we like to represent, he is professional , hardworking and his art is amazing, I can see his art being very valuable one day”

“ I personally love being able to help talented artists like Simon get their foot in the door of the art world, to solidify their own confidence in their work is great and I hope that the experience they have while with us helps prepare them for a long professional art career.”

Prendergast freely admits not being the most confident artist yet, but feels now is the right time to make more of a name for himself. He recalls the day when he discovered his talent for art 7 years ago, with a blank canvas and a limited amount of paint he began to create, once he finished his first piece he eagerly awaited his wife Kath’s approval, the anticipation of her reaction was an adrenaline rush and what kick started the passion for art he has toady.
