International Jazz & Blues Festival Postponed
The New Zealand International Jazz & Blues Festival has been postponed.
The festival, the biggest combined jazz and blues event in the country, was due to be held in Christchurch next month, but has been postponed due to last month’s devastating earthquake.
Festival director Jodi Wright said the extent of the damage to Christchurch’s central business district meant it was simply not feasible to hold the festival as planned in late April, so the decision had been made to postpone it until further notice.
“It’s disappointing for everyone but at the moment we’re just not in a position to go ahead with the festival,’’ Ms Wright said.
Ticket refunds are available through Ticketek.
