NZ’s most iconic bridal and fashion designers, Jane Yeh and Sera Lilly will hit the runaway at BFW making it the show of the year.

Plus Full Designer and Show Schedule and Much Much More…

The inaugural bridal fashion week has just clinched the best in the business. Jane Yeh and Sera Lilly are joining the already iconic New Zealand designer line-up to show their latest bridal collections on the runway. Sera Lilly is releasing her first bridal collection.

This will make for an incredible show.

Never before has a long, impressive list of celebrated New Zealand bridal designers come together in such a spectacular way. Bridal Fashion Week is the first of its kind ever in New Zealand and with Bridal Houses - Liz Mitchell, Robyn Cliffe, John Zimmerman, Rosemary Smith, Vinka Design, Rositta Chong, La Shika, Alison Blain, Corina Snow, Yvonne Bennetti and N.Z.’s most revered couture designer Annie Bonza complimented by Exclusive Suit Hire and French Design House Cymbeline along with Spanish Designer Reuben Perlotti, this week will be one for the history books.

Gloria Vincent of BFW says “Paris has a bridal show, New York, Sydney, London, Barcelona. They all have a show to celebrate their bridal designers so why shouldn’t we? We have some of the most talented designers in the world and we need to stand up and be proud, she continued,” “We must be doing something right if two of the world’s most famous designers, Ruben Perlotti and the Cymbeline sisters are showing their collection in the land of the long white cloud. We’re putting New Zealand on the world stage.”

The Bridal Fashion Week Runway will be the first in the world to see the 2012 Spanish Designer Reuben Perlotti range named The Chryselephantine. The legendary Cymbeline sisters of Paris will be showcasing their 2011 collection named Femmes, they are also planning on showing some of their 2012 collection.

Another first is New Zealand’s most revered couture designer Annie Bonza who makes her comeback presenting her fabulous bridal fashion onto the BFW Runway. “Annie Bonza has been integral to New Zealand fashion for over 50 years and we are honoured that she is making her comeback with Bridal Fashion Week. It’s extremely exciting,” says Gloria Vincent.

The show is designed to ‘wow’ brides and fashionistas in New Zealand by offering a unique show schedule. Each Saturday and Sunday session for our N.Z. Designers is a one hour block and is divided into three individual designer runway shows. This means the audience can view three designers own choreographed Runway Show in one sitting.

The sessions are designed to encompass a theme that will capture the imagination and creativity of the audience and above all to be magical and spectacular. Choreographed and produced by the highly acclaimed Amanda Bransgrove each designer will be able to add their own personal touch and handprint.

Amanda’s name and reputation is synonymous with high fashion, she’s the founder of Catwalk Studios and former top model with the prestigious Ford Model agency in New York. Her career spans 24 years and her breadth of experience forms an amazing foundation to make this show extraordinary.

Beginning with a Gala Cocktail Evening of glamour and entertainment on Friday 1st April which will include New Zealand Bridal Couture, Designer Catwalk, Young Designer, Pacifika Bridal Designs, Bridal Wearable Art, Bridal Body Painting and a finale with New Zealand’s Bride of the Year judged by our two international designers, a celebrity and a Bride-to-Be. The week will end with a Best of the Best Charity Show with local celebrities modelling the designers’ most inspired gowns.

A Trade Day will take place on Monday 4th April and is for the public to meet with designers. Designer gowns can be bought direct off the rack and fitting rooms and assistants will be available.
