On Court: Your Netball Point Of Contact – Episode 7

On Court: Your Netball Point Of Contact – Episode 7, Wednesday 23 March, SKY Sport 1

On Court welcomes its first guest from Earthquake stricken Christchurch this week, with Canterbury Tactix and young Ferns defender Charlotte Kight in the studio to talk us through how tough it’s been for her team to pick up the pieces.

Her side was together training at QEII when the quake struck. Hear how frightening it was as these elite netballers feared for their lives as disaster struck their city.

The Tactix are now the nomadic team of the 2011 ANZ Championship – even forced to take their resumption “home” game to Rotorua, with no venue available in their tattered city.

We’ll also talk life outside of netball with law-student Kight, as she joins this week’s hosts Anna Stanley (former Silver Ferns captain) and Kathryn Harby-Williams (former Aussie Diamonds captain).

Also “On Court” this week, Bernice Mene wraps up the ANZ Championship’s latest super round in ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ plus another Tactix player – double international Donna Wilkins - talks candidly in ‘Off the Wall’.

We also meet one of the game’s up-and-comers during our ‘Future Ferns’ feature and take a close-up look at the ways attacking players get free in our game analysis.

On Court - Wednesday 7.30pm on SKY Sport 1.
