*Comedians guarantee to tug your funny bone*
Ex-tugboat and newly refurbished night spot, the Parade Cafe will host 16 comedians in the 2011 NZ International Comedy Festival’s most submersed show *On a Boat,* from May 4th – 7th.
The line up show case will be performed entirely under sea level - a first in the 17 years the festival has been running. * *
The show will have two line ups per night, the first set of comedians at 7pm and the second set of comedians at 8.30pm. Ticket buyers can attend just one or both line ups on a night. Tickets are on sale from March 21st.
All 16 comedians are friends from the Raw Meat Comedy nights held at the Fringe Bar every Monday. “When I was planning the show, I was blown away by the talent that was coming through every week” says show producer Hilaire Carmody. “Some of them are tomorrow’s comedy stars and this is an opportunity for Wellingtonians to say they were there - they saw them in their first festival show”
Performers are:
Aaron Pyke, AJ, Ants Heath, Becca Barnes, Corey Matthews, Daniel Shenton, Hilaire Carmody, James Jobe, Jared Bosecke, Jeet Sheth, Natalie Britten, Sam Smith, Thom Adams, Tito, Vitale Joseph, Wyeth Chalmers.
