NZ Film Wins Coveted Award at New Jersey Film Festival
Auckland, NZ – April 6, 2011
Local feature film Russian Snark (wri/dir Stephen Sinclair & prod Liz DiFiore prod company Godzone Pictures) has just picked up another award this week for Best International Feature at the Garden State Film Festival in New Jersey. Contact Liz DiFiore for all sales and distribution enquiries.
This adds to their 6 nominations and 1 award at the Qantas NZ Film and TV Awards 2010, and the 3 nominations at the US based Maverick Movie Awards in December. Russian Snark stars Stephen Papps as Misha (who learned Russian for the role) and native Russian speaker Elena Stejko as Nadia. Russian Snark is the story of a Russian couple who sail to NZ on a small life boat and once here deal with the challenges of trying to live artistic lives despite the realities of daily life in Aotearoa. Godzone Pictures will be distributing Russian Snark in New Zealand later this year.
Godzone Pictures is a full service production company based in Auckland specialising in drama and other genres of film, TV and internet production and distribution. www.godzone.co.nz & www.russiansnark.com
