The Great Beer and Wine Tasting Escape, 27 – 29th May, brings together Bay of Many Coves Executive Chef Jonno Rogers with talented father and son Allan and Josh Scott, winemaker and master brewer respectively, for a weekend of very special bon hommie at the resort.

Featured amongst the weekend’s scheduled activities is a water-side bistro meal matched with Moa beer and a seven course degustation dinner accompanied by Allan Scott wines. Chef Jonno Rogers, acclaimed for his ability to create impeccable food and wine matches, says the weekend promises to be a superb event for those with a taste for fine food and beverages. He’s particularly excited about the opportunity to create cuisine that compliments Moa beer. “Because it’s fermented in the bottle like French champagne, Moa is a beer unlike any other”, says Jonno. “Our guests are in for an absolute treat.”

As part of this special opportunity to experience the flavours created at the hands of the multi-talented Scott family, the weekend also includes lunch in provincial vineyard style at the Allan Scott Vineyard restaurant, a vineyard tour and a tour of the Moa Brewery.

The Allan Scott Winery is one of New Zealand’s most respected and consistently awarded family-owned wineries. Talented father and son, Allan and Josh Scott, are both pioneers in their respective fields. Allan was one of the first to plant vines in the Marlborough region and Josh, who is the wine maker for Allan Scott wines, created the unique Moa beer.
