Carnival for Christchurch Saturday 30 April

Excitement is building for a Carnival for Christchurch on 30 April 2011 at Trentham Racecourse. The event has been very generously sponsored by BJC Elements Ltd and Brian Childs of the Professionals.

The following well known Wellington Bands including some up and coming stars have confirmed and will share 2 stages throughout the entire day.

Tomorrow People , Avidiva, Supermodel, Way Out West, X Ray Cats, Nick & The Noodles, Hitchcock Railway, T.K, Jonny & The Dreamboats, California Dreamers, Mark Southon, Soviet, Ma Shot Pa, The Howlers, Inferno, Tommy Guns, Joe's Garage and others.

To add to the Carnival atmosphere there will also be carnival rides, stalls, bouncy castles and lots of other exciting activities for everyone to enjoy. For the car enthusiasts there will also be an impressive lineup of Hot Rods on display.

100% of all tickets sales will go to the Red Cross Earthquake Appeal.

“Come on Wellington, Christchurch is going to need our support for some time to come. Bring your families, friends and work colleagues to Trentham for a fun day out and help raise money for Christchurch at the same time” said Matt Reid, CEO of the Racecourse.

Entertainment starts at 11am. $15 Adults, $10 for Children and Student ID, Kids under 5 free.
