Top 10 finalists in the search for NZ’s Next Tux Dog
Top 10 finalists in the search for NZ’s Next Tux Dog have been announced!

New Zealand is one step
closer to finding the newest celebrity to follow in the paw
prints of previous “fit as a fiddle, sharp as a knife”
dogs from the iconic Tux advertisements.
Top animal trainer, Mark Vette, says that it was very difficult to choose the Top 10. However, after a lot of careful deliberation and a few tough decisions, we have our finalists:
• Amazon, a Huntaway from Ohakune
•
Brodie, a Border Collie from Palmerston North
•
Dixie, a Yorkshire Terrier from Lower Hutt
•
Harley, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier from Kumeu,
Auckland
• Jay, a Collie cross from Tuatapere,
Western Southland
• Jess, an NZ Heading Dog from
Taumaranui
• Patrick, a Bearded Collie from
Christchurch
• Pesh, a Jack Russell from
Beachlands, Auckland
• Sniper, a Boxer from Browns
Bay, Auckland
• Sonny, a Golden Retriever Border
Collie cross from New Lynn, Auckland
The judges are currently touring the length of New Zealand visiting and auditioning each dog at its home. The public will then be able to watch the audition videos and vote for their favourite star to feature in the new ads.
