Search On For Favourite Flower Of Canterbury

Will it be the glorious daffodil, regal Chrysanthemum or the perfect perfumed rose?

To celebrate the Canterbury Horticultural Society's 150th anniversary this year, the society is keen to identify the favourite flower of the region. Known across the world for its reputation as The Garden City, people across Canterbury are sure to have a favourite bloom they feel worthy of the title ‘Canterbury’s Favourite Flower’.

Send entries to favouriteflower@chsgardens.co.nz or mail to Canterbury Horticultural Society P O Box 369 Christchurch by 31st May 2011. Results will be announced 20th July at the society’s Winter Celebration Luncheon.
Canterbury Horticultural Society’s legacy is built upon generations of garden enthusiasts and the many beautiful gardens across the region that gives Christchurch and Canterbury its unique identity.

Founded in 1861, the Canterbury Horticultural Society is one of the oldest gardening groups in New Zealand.

The Canterbury Horticultural Society is celebrating its 150th anniversary throughout 2011.
