Best New Wellington Comedians Performing in Comedy Festival
Sam Smith and
Aaron Pyke have just been judged the best new comedians in
Wellington, through the 2011 Raw Meat Comedy Competition.
The finals were held on April 28th at The Fringe bar.
Both comedians will be flown to Auckland to compete in
the National Raw Comedy Quest Grand Final held at the
Classic Comedy Bar on Sunday 15 May as part of the NZ
International Comedy Festival.
Wellingtonians will have an opportunity to see both Sam and Aaron perform prior to their trip to Auckland as they are both will be participants in upcoming show ‘On A Boat’ between the 4th and 7th of May as part of the 2011 NZ International Comedy Festival.
Both will be following in the footsteps of some of Wellington's most successful performers, including 2006 Billy T Award winner Cori Gonzalez Macuer and 2011 Billy T nominee Cameron Murray.
