Sex and Christianity ... you've got to be joking!
Some say that, for about 20 centuries, mainline Christianity has been preaching a baleful view of human sexuality. To many it seems, at best, a means of making more Christians and, at worst, a lapse of good taste on the part of the creator.
But recently some calls for a healthier view of human sexuality have been coming from within the church. Next week one such advocate, the Rev. Dr. Marvin Ellison, will be "In Conversation with Noel Cheer" on Triangle/Stratos Television insisting that sexual ethics is really a part of humanitarian ethics in general and not in conflict with a healthy religious outlook.
