Calling all females -‘Women on Wheels’ workshop

Saturday 14th May 1.30pm

Ladies, have you ever had car problems? If the answer is yes then ‘Women on Wheels’ is for you. The Ashburton Art Gallery has teamed up with Beaurepairs and other local businesses to provide a one off workshop to teach you the essential information you need to know about your car.

A local female mechanic will demonstrate and teach you the key maintenance procedures involved with the smooth running of your car. From changing a tyre, tyre condition and pressure, to wheel alignment. The do’s and don’ts relating to your engine, and also some interesting tricks of the trade. There will also be prizes up for grabs for whoever can change a tyre in the fastest time, so get practicing girls.

After the workshop everybody is invited back to the Gallery where you will be greeted with a glass of bubbles, and a selection of nibbles. The lovely Rachael Chapman will then present a useful and informative talk about road safety. Then to finish the fabulous event off, a number of awesome spot prizes will be given out, petrol vouchers, movie tickets and a number of car goodies are up for grabs, so don’t miss out.

Tickets are available from the Ashburton Art Gallery and are priced at $15 or $12 for Friends of the Gallery.
