Frankie Wood, writer, poet, film
maker, puppeteer, entertainer and sculptor has recently
published her first romantic novel –
at the grand age
of 90! She is a well known Hutt Valley resident and has
spent her life studying human behaviour which
she has
used as raw material for comedy sketches, poetry and in her
first novel about people finding love in their twilight
years.

INTERNATIONAL MPS DAY : 15th MAY
Sanfilippo is one of the Mucopolysaccharide diseases
(MPS) and to raise awareness, along with 20 other countries

France & Romania, author Marion Freigard is
offering her book ‘Surviving Sanfilippo’ at the much
reduced price throughout May.

PERFORMANCE
RENT – For the 1st Time in Wellington! A rock opera with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson based on Giacomo Puccini's opera La bohème. It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS they must learn to come to terms with loss, love and the enduring powers of love.

community based organisation is a gifting programme for
young children (3-8) who are hospitalised or in long-term
convalescence. It makes up special activity packs – craft
projects, poems, colouring, drawing lessons etc – and you
can tailor make them to suit children you may know.
Donations always welcome from individuals and commercial
premises.
